Hand asked Foot, Head,

 "Why all bows to you. 

   Why don't me."

Foot answered with a smile, 

"Because I am on the ground 

but you are hanging in the air."

હાથ પૂછ્યું પગને,

"કેમ બધા તમને નમન કરે.

 કેમ મને નહી."
પગે હસતાં હસતાં કહ્યુ, 

"કારણ કે હું જમીન પર છું, 

પણ તમે હવામાં લટકો છો."

हाथने पूछा पैरसे, 

"आपको क्यों सब नमन करते है। 

मुझे क्यों नहीं।"
पैरने मुस्कानके साथ उत्तर दिया,

"क्योंकि मैं जमीन पर हूं, 

लेकिन आप हवामें लटके हैं।"

 What was said were *words*; What can't express that was *feeling*.

But what to say; not said, That is *wisdom*.

સ્વભાવ પંથ

 માનવ જ્યારે જાણે, કે 

તે ત્યારે સદ્ગતિને પંથે, છે

માટે સાટે તેથી જ છે, વૃદ્ધિ;

ન આધિ, વ્યાધિ કે ઉપાધિ.

જે પોતે જાણે સંતોષ,

તે જાતે માને છે શાંતિ.

જે પોતાની સાથે ન કરે, વાદવિવાદ;

તે જાતે જ માણે છે, શાંતિસંવાદ.
